ICF is a growing group of individuals who have put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and have experienced powerful and important changes in life. We have a passion for God and His kingdom to increase in Slovenia and throughout our region. As our name indicates we are an international community with people from many different nations. Our main language is Slovene. However, because of the international flavor we often use English in our worship, preaching, praying, and fellowship.
The Bible is our manual for what we believe and how we live. It is a living book inspired by the Holy Spirit and useful to teach us what is true. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip us to do great things (2 Tim. 3:16-17)!
ICF is guided by six important values found in the Bible. For example it says in Acts 2:42, “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.”
1. Worship: God is who He says He is through His book, the Bible, and is worthy of on-going, whole-hearted, outrageous praise and worship. Simply put, our best belongs to God. We receive instruction from those God has gifted to teach with apostolic input.
2. Prayer: Prayer is communication with God. This was the foundation of Jesus' life. Through prayer and knowing the Father Jesus defeated evil, liberated the oppressed, and healed the sick. We are continually learning the value of a private prayer life, behind closed doors, and the power of praying together as a group.
3. Fellowship: We define fellowship as, “a share in a common life; a share in a common purpose”. Much thought, care, and opportunity is given to make families out of strangers. It's not the quantity of a bank account that makes a person rich, but the quality of a person's relationships at home and with friends. This fellowship leads to one end: His kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
